From outdoor cinema experiences, to virtual cocktail classes, there are plenty of ways to celebrate with your besties during lockdown. Fizzbox.com share their favourite social distancing hen party ideas here…
2020 has been a challenging year to say the least! With many couples forced to cancel or postpone their weddings due to Covid 19. The Pandemic has had a huge impact on everyone globally and the uncertainty for those due to say ‘I do’ this year has been extremely stressful.
As the Lockdown measures are slowly being lifted, smaller more intimate weddings are looking more likely to go ahead during the latter part of the summer and onwards. So, with this in mind, hen and stag do experts Fizzbox.com have put together some social distancing hen party ideas that’ll guarantee you still get to celebrate with your besties:
Picnic in the Park
We’ve all grown to really appreciate the outdoors whilst we’ve been in Lockdown so there’s no need to fret when thinking ahead for things to do for a hen do. Now that we can meet up to 6 friends outdoors why not organise a hen picnic in the park. Ask everyone to bring their own food and drink and personalise with some balloons and games or quizzes so that the hen can still celebrate with those close to her.
Virtual Cocktail Class
Virtual parties have become the norm in the last few months and although we haven’t been able to party with our friends and family in person it hasn’t stopped us staying connected.
Virtual hen parties are a great way of including all of your friends in the celebrations and just as much fun as the real thing… as long as they are well organised and packed with enjoyable activities for the group to do.
Add a virtual cocktail class to the night’s festivities and you can’t go wrong. The virtual cocktail class from Fizzbox is a fantastic way to get the party in the swing of things. Prior to the event everyone will each receive a kit containing the ingredients and equipment needed to make mouth- watering cocktails (equipment will be collected after the event by a courier). On the evening a professional mixologist will be the host for your online class and will teach you the tricks, techniques and tools of the trade to make the best cocktails.
As of Monday 15th June, outdoor cinemas with social distancing are allowed. Why not organise a trip to your nearest outdoor cinema with a handful of the girls – an alternative way to celebrate a hen do but just as much fun! Depending on what film you are seeing, why not theme the hen around the film and get everyone to come in fancy dress.
Fish and Chips at the Beach is always a big hit, so if you’re looking for a way to celebrate a hen do and adhere the social distancing guidelines a trip to the beach is a perfect way to get together and enjoy the sunshine and soak up the atmosphere of the Seaside.
Virtual Scavenger Hunt
A great addition to any virtual hen party has to be a Virtual Scavenger Hunt. This is a sure way to get the group up and moving as they complete a series of fun tasks against the clock. With a maximum of up to 100 players this activity is ideal for larger parties and a great ice breaker if there are people that may not know each other, by the end of the evening you can guarantee they will all know each other very well!
Zoos and Safari Parks are set to open on June 15th so for those who love nature and animals this could be the very activity for you to do for your hen celebrations.
Theme parks are also due to open in July with social distancing measures in place so why not combine the two activities and spend your hen do on a rollercoaster at Chessington World of Adventures?!
Add some accessories!
Whatever you decide to do, don’t forget to make the party special with lots of fun accessories.
Personalised masks of the bride to be are a lot of fun, whether you are opting for a virtual party or meeting outside in a public space- there’s nothing quite like the impact of logging onto Zoom or turning up at a park to multiple pictures of the hen.
Additionally, balloons, party bags and favours, photobooks and fun games all make the hen party go off with a bang, even if there are only a few of you, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make it a celebration you’ll never forget!
