Introducing Dreamland, the re-vamped vintage amusement park by the beach with brand new wedding options for a fabulously quirky new venue…
You spin me right round baby, right round… Dreamland by name, dreamland by nature, we’ve fallen head over heels for this full-of-fun, gloriously alternative, and wonderfully quirky new venue: a re-vamped amusement park in Margate. The oldest-surviving amusement park in Great Britain, this multi-faceted cultural attraction had a complete design revamp in May 2017, which saw the amusement park totally re-landscaped. With a multitude of stylish and alternative venues available and carefully designed food and beverage menus, Dreamland provides an entirely bespoke experience for brides, grooms and their guests, and brings all the fun of the fair – with a twist!
Whether the wedding has four or 400 guests, Dreamland’s spaces are versatile to suit a wide range of tastes. The Grade II listed Ballroom is licensed for ceremonies, and all new areas for wedding receptions and breakfasts in 2018 include the retro-style Green Room with its banana-leaf design wallpaper, and the Tree Top Bar – which, nestled amongst the trees, offers panoramic views of the amusement park. The VIP huts also provide an exclusive area for watching live entertainment on the outdoor Scenic Stage.
Inspired by the locality, the wedding breakfast menus include seaside classics such as oysters and fish and chips, fairground favourites including mini doughnuts, candyfloss and ice cream, as well as elegant three-course seated dinner options. While fun and quirky, the menus consist of quality ingredients and local produce is used to provide an authentic Kentish experience.
The park has been re-landscaped and has meticulously restored vintage rides, world-class entertainment spaces, modern interactive art installations, contemporary street food, eclectic bars and live entertainment with a backdrop of Margate beach. We love the retro 1950s feel here!
