Keep your girls happy with stunning bridesmaid dresses they’ll want to wear again and again…
So, you’ve picked your best girls and asked them to be your bridesmaids, but then comes the dreaded task of finding a dress that everyone is happy with! This is no easy process, with so many things to consider. Something that suits everyone’s shape, style, height and colouring, not to mention within budget! Kitting out all your girls can be pricey, especially if you’ve got a lot of them, so many brides will also want bridesmaid dresses they can wear again after the big day. Here are a few considerations…
Let them pick their own
This is a great option that’s sure to keep everyone happy. Simply set a budget and give your girls a brief of what type of dress you’d like them to buy. Whether you go shopping with them or let them go it alone, you know they’ll feel confident and happy in the dress they’ve chosen.
Mix it up
If you want more of a uniform look, that still allows your girls a sense of individuality, then multiway dresses are perfect. They can be wrapped in a number of different ways to give a neckline that suits your shape and style. This is also a great option if you have any pregnant bridesmaids as they’re super flattering and comfortable!
Colour is really important if you want a dress that your girls can wear again. Think muted tones that can be accessorised or dark colours that will look chic and timeless. Everyone loves an LBD!
Short or mid-length bridesmaid dresses are a great choice, especially if they’re all different heights. This will mean less alterations and let’s face it, they’re much more likely to wear a short dress again. If you and your ‘maids are a bit more fashion forward, then why not consider a jumpsuit or skirt and top combination?
Think about fabrics
Heavy satin dresses are very traditional and although they’re great for a winter wedding, they’re not so wearable in warmer months or after the wedding day. Consider lighter, more floaty fabrics for a modern spring/summer look.
