A December wedding in Essex, filled with seasonal details. Bride Dannielle reveals all…
How did Oliver propose?
“Ollie bought me a trip to Paris for my Christmas present in 2016. We went on the 25th May 2017 via Eurostar. Paris is my favourite place in the world because I used to live and work there and I was really missing it. We arrived at the hotel in central Paris and were shown to our room. Ollie told me to go out onto the balcony. I opened the curtains and saw the Eiffel Tower! I looked out across the beautiful skyline and Ollie said, ‘Let’s get this holiday off to the best start…’ I turned around and Ollie was on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
What dress did you wear?
“My dress was a Morilee gown from Confetti & Lace in Lakeside. They were so helpful and gave me such a lovely experience. I wanted to make my dress unique so I added small lace drop sleeves, which I absolutely loved.“
And the accessories?
“My shoes were Kurt Geiger and reminded me of Cinderella’s glass slippers. I also had Converse trainers for the evening, too (made dancing all night a lot more comfy!). My necklace and earrings were from the winter collection at Swarovski. Ollie bought me a Tiffany bracelet, which I wore on the day.”
What did Oliver wear?
“Ollie, the groomsmen and my dad wore navy blue three-piece suits from Slaters. Ollie wore a white tie and pocket square with everyone else wearing dark green to match the bridesmaids, from JJS house online. Their shoes were from River Island.”
How did you feel when you saw him up the aisle?
“When I first saw Ollie standing at the altar I had an overwhelming feeling of happiness. It was the most intense love I had ever felt in my life. He looked so handsome and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!”
Who were your bridesmaids and where were their dresses from?
“My bridesmaids were my best friends; Maisy, Lizzie, Sarah and Tiffany. They wore dark green dresses from JJS House online. I chose to have them all in the same colour and style dress but with different tops. We also had little white fur jackets also from JJS House.”
What was the highlight of your day?
“I would say it was as the ceremony was finishing and the registrar announced us as ‘The new Mr & Mrs Wilson’.” Ollie grabbed my hand, gave me a kiss and we walked down the isle together, faces beaming with smiles and our family and friends looking so happy.”
