When it comes to entertaining your wedding guests, what could be better than a few signature wedding cocktails to get the party started? If you need a little help choosing what will go down well with your nearest and dearest, this handy guide is sure to help.
Arlo & Jacob analysed some of the most popular cocktails, giving them an overall score out of 100 and measuring the number of ingredients needed to make it, the price per serving (£), the time it takes to prep, and its popularity factor.
The top five cocktails were the Old Fashioned, Bellini, Earl Grey Martini, Orange Blossom Bellini and Mojito.
The Old Fashioned tops the leaderboard as the best overall cocktail. With just 5 minutes prep time needed to make it, this whiskey-based beverage is the most searched for drink to make from our cocktail menu. With an orange glow, the Old Fashioned requires 7 ingredients to make and comes in at a reasonable £1.46 per serving.
The Veneician-based Bellini’s prove extremely popular in the results, with the original ranking second and the Orange Blossom positioned at fourth. With the classic Bellini requiring just 2 ingredients (prosecco and peach puree), this cocktail is the ultimate drink to shake up in just five minutes at a dinner party, with no hassle involved.
The famous minty Mojito sits as the fifth-best cocktail. This drink is a real crowd-pleaser, reflected in its staggering 4.2 million Instagram hashtags. The Cosmopolitan comes in at 6th place.
