Disney-loving bride, Sarah, incorporated this into her theme, with style! The bride reveals all about her fairytale wedding…
What dress did you wear?
“My dress was from a gorgeous little boutique in Poulton-le-fylde, Lancashire, called Blush. It was the second dress I tired on. I had an idea of what I liked, but wanted to keep an open mind. Wedding dress shopping isn’t something you do every day and I wanted to try on lots of different styles.
Having previously worked and danced at Disneyland Paris, nothing would be more fitting than a princess ball gown dress. If you can’t be a princess on your wedding day, when can you? My dress was by Phoenix Gowns.”
And the accessories?
“My breathtaking Sophia Webster angel wings shoes were the showstopper of all shoes. I had a simple sparkly pearl bracelet that was from the wedding collection at Debenhams. I also wore a Bianco Evento veil.”
How did you feel when you saw Brady up the aisle?
“Just minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle, I had a bridezilla moment. I noticed that I had a little make up on my dress and I went crazy! I’m thankful I have the best girls and bridesmaids and that we are still friends after this! So after my moment, this made us about 30 minutes late. I had extreme butterflies and the overpowering excitement, which was the most incredible feeling. My dad linked my arm and we started to walk. I couldn’t stop smiling. That walk was the most surreal experience. I saw all my guests peripherally, but I only had eyes for my hubby smiling back at me.”
Who were your bridesmaids and where were their dresses from?
“My bridesmaids were my niece, Faye, my lifelong and best friend, Danielle, and my two best girls I met whilst at uni, Megan and Emily. Our flowergirls were our daughters, Emmie and Isabelle. I struggled to find the right shade of pink, but eventually I chose the Alissa dress from Chi Chi London. Our flowergirl dresses were from Matalan.”
What was your theme?
“Our theme was romantic with a subtle hint of Disney. Our room was adorned with ceiling fairylit sails in pink and white hues, complemented by a fairylit backdrop, soft pink uplighters, 7ft blossom trees with graceful hanging tea lights stood on guard aside the delicate petal and candle lit aisle. Our table names were Disney couples.”
