If you’re planning on proposing over the festive period, but don’t want the pressure of choosing the perfect engagement ring, this could be your dream solution…
Choosing the perfect engagement ring for your partner can be a minefield! Will they like it? How much should you spend? The list of dilemmas goes on.
Well, now Farado Design have come up with a simple solution in the form of their new ‘Knot an Engagement Ring’. The sweet knot proposal ring has just been launched specifically for partners who wish to propose without a ring, and have their other half involved in the choosing process.
Designer Lisa Catterson has created a gorgeous package of a ring and invitation to a bespoke design session, where the couple can then discuss metal colour, stones, shapes and ring styles; and a unique design is made from the ideas.
“In the past I’ve had a number of couples who have come to me design a bespoke engagement ring and begun the process once they are already engaged. Knowing their partner would want to be involved in picking the ring they will treasure forever, they have proposed with a stand in ring and kept the element of surprise. Not only has this taken extra stress out of picking a ring to their partners tastes, it can make the proposal easier to plan – without the need to ask probing questions or using friends and family as spies (though this can work too!) As a designer, this got my creative juices flowing, and I began designing a ‘proposal ring’ for people to do exactly that.”
Based on the idea of ‘tying the knot’, the dainty ring will make the perfect keepsake and costs £100. What’s more, the cost of the ring will be taken off the design deposit when it comes to creating a bespoke engagement ring.
Lisa uses Fairtrade and recycled metals, as well as ethically sourced stones in her all designs. This proposal ring is no different, made from 100% post-consumer recycled silver.
