A winter wonderland wedding with extra glitz. Real bride Natalie had plenty of sparkles on her special day – and even Del Boy even made an appearance…
How did Chris propose?
“Chris proposed at home on 21st December 2012 after taking me to our favourite restaurant, Loch Fyne, in Knutsford. I suspected he was going to propose at the restaurant, but he surprised me by getting down on one knee by our front door!”
What dress did you wear?
“My dress was by Veromia, which I bought from Wedding Belles in Frodsham. The staff there were so brilliant, patient and helpful, all the while offering advice too. And thank goodness, because at first I thought my dress was everything I had said I didn’t want! But when I put it on for the first time, I felt just like a princess.”
And the accessories?
“My veil came from Wedding Belles, too. My necklace, earrings and bracelet were from Glitzy Secrets, and my Pandora bracelet was a wedding present from Chris. I got a headpiece and faux-fur wrap online. My beautiful Kurt Geiger shoes tied in with the pink and sparkly theme.”
What did the groom wear?
“Chris wore a black tuxedo suit from the Next Signature collection. The jacket was made from black velvet with a satin lapel. Very smart and sophisticated – enough to give James Bond a run for his money! The groomsmen also wore tuxedos from Next – although not velvet ones.”
Who were your bridesmaids and where were their dresses from?
“Vicki, my best friend and maid of honour, wore a multiway maxi dress from Debenhams. My step-sister Rosie and my two sister-in-laws, Deborah and Kate, wore one-shoulder maxi dresses from Coast that had lovely shoulder bow details.”
What was your theme?
“We used pink, ivory and silver, tied together with sparkle. It was a winter wedding, so we made sure we had lots of candles and twinkly glitz to go around. The cocktail table names added to the glamour – we wanted a classy and elegant event. The flowers played a huge part, too; our expert florist did an amazing job!”
What was the highlight of your day?
“I did enjoy our surprise guest, ‘Del Boy’, entertaining after the wedding breakfast – he even offered some of his goods for sale! But the church ceremony was just amazing. Arriving at the church, waiting for the organist to start, singing the hymns, taking our vows… It was pure perfection.”
