For the carefree and spirited bride searching for a vintage-inspired theme, introducing the new White Garden Collection…
Perfect for the modern, bohemian and free-spirited bride, we love the sensational vintage-inspired feel of these gorgeous gowns from the White Garden Collection. Inspired by the White Garden at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent, Frances Farmer, owner of Calm Amongst The Chaos – a couture bridalwear studio on the South coast of England – created six exquisite ready-to-wear wedding dresses. The garden was restored by 1930’s poet Vita Sackville West, who was known to sit and write her poetry amongst the magnificent blooms in every shade of white, cream and ivory. Frances created six heavenly gowns using luxurious ethereal fabrics and named them after Vita and six other prominent female writers from that period, truly capturing the language of love. So not only do we love the look of them – we even love their names! Introducing dress styles Vita and her compatriots, Agatha (Christie), Virginia (Woolf), Bea (Potter), Nancy (Mitford) and Edith (Nesbit).
Think English-heritage shabby-chic; think English Rose; think antique stately homes filled with gilded frames; think embroidered lace and a flourish of feathers; think headdresses and flowers, poetry and seduction. Think all of this and you’ll be getting close. We love this stunning, stand-out collection, truly for you if you consider yourself a touch unconventional.
We love this label for its absolutely unique and innovative feel, as this photography shoot will testify. We love it even more when we found out that chief designer Frances Farmer has been joined by her daughter Agy to combine forces (and creative inspiration) on behalf of brides everywhere. This distinct mother-and-daughter vibe is showcased so perfectly in their dresses: expertise in vintage, old-school glamour coupled with a free-spirited, bohemian twist.
The White Garden Collection, launching June 2017, is Frances’ first ready-to-wear collection and, alongside a new bridal shop attached to her studio in Ringwood, opens this Autumn 2017. Each gown from the collection below is handmade using exquisite lace fabrics, tulles and silks, and is available in five different sizes. With romantic, fit and flare or billowing silhouettes, this collection is sizzlingly hot off the press and is available to purchase online now!
