We got a sneaky preview of all the newest bridal collections at the London Bridal Show this week, and we loved what we saw! Here are the new wedding dress trends you should keep an eye out for…
Nude – as seen at Allure Bridals
Coffee and taupe tones were one of the more popular wedding dress trends appearing at the end of last year, so we weren’t surprised to see this trend everywhere at the show this year. We do love the way that Allure Bridal paired flattering nude tones with their gorgeous intricate lace, as it really makes the detail pop and puts a sexy spin on a classic design.
Floral prints – as seen at Callista
Again, florals have been creeping up in the bridal world for at least a season, but plenty of brands were going bigger and bolder for 2018, with exotic floral prints and plenty of colour injected into the collections. One of our favourites has to be this all-over floral ballgown from Callista, which features a real botanical element to its print.
Stripes – as seen at Mori Lee
This gorgeous gown caught our eye as soon as we arrived, and we think it’s a real trendsetter! These sleek stripes look fantastic combined with a fun and flirty ruffle skirt and a sexy plunge V-line neck – expect to see more stripes in upcoming bridal collections.
Fringing – as seen at Lillian West
If their new collection is anything to go by, Lillian West is THE go-to brand for boho brides this season. We saw plenty of beautiful textures in their new gowns, from Art Deco-style beading to geometric lace embroidery, but the fringed gowns were a real showstopper. Time to channel Emma Stone at the Oscars!
Embossed lace – as seen at Catherine Parry
Another exciting texture we’re expecting to see more of on the bridal catwalks is embossed lace. A fresh take on more traditional lace, this delicate texture is ideal for modern brides looking for a new take on florals that’s subtle yet pretty. This gypsophila-style lace at Catherine Parry is by far our favourite from the show.
