Check out this sunny and super-colourful wedding in Santorini! Bride Kerry tells us more…
How did Lee propose?
“Lee proposed to me in Dubai the previous year. We were a the top the Burj al Arab (the famous hotel shaped like a sail) and we were overlooking the whole of Dubai and the palm.”
What dress did you wear?
“I wore a Sottero & Midgley gown. It was perfect for an overseas wedding as it had no back and was fairly slimline. I purchased a wedding dress box from The Empty Box company. These boxes fit your airline cabin baggage allowance measurements meaning you can carry your dress as hand luggage and not worry about checking it in! I put my shoes and other small things I needed for the day in there, too.”
And the accessories?
“I wore a Jenny Packham headpiece and Stuart Weitzman shoes, which were a gift from Lee. I decided against a veil as my dress had such a beautiful back feature.”
What did Lee wear?
“Lee and his best man wore cream suits from Zara with no ties. They also had shoes and belts from Russell & Bromley”
How did you feel when you saw him up the aisle?
“I was so excited to get to the venue! Lee called me when he and the rest of the guests arrived at the winery. He told me the venue looked absolutely amazing decorated and I just wanted to be there with them all! All my bridesmaids went first and then my younger brother walked me down the aisle.”
Who were your bridesmaids and what dresses did they wear?
“I had nine bridesmaids! Our sisters, nieces and my best friends. They all had dresses from Dessy, although I chose a different style of dress for each of them. I also chose two colours that matched our colour scheme of nude and coral, then the girls all chose their own gold shoes and accessories. I wanted them to be relaxed and feel comfortable as well as all look individual.”
What was your theme?
“I chose the colour scheme by looking at other destination weddings on Pinterest. I love the two colours anyway and then based most of our other decor on the colours.”
What was the highlight of your day?
“Obviously walking down the aisle to meet Lee, but arriving together at the Santorini Princess to be greeted by all our friends and family for our special day was amazing.”
