Real bride Stacey reveals all about her rustic glamour theme, complete with marquee, ice-cream van and tonnes of gorgeous details!
What dress did you wear?
“My gorgeous dress was by Jasmine Couture purchased from White Dresses & Tiaras in Crawley (where I work). My boss Claire said I mustn’t feel bad if I wanted to shop around, but I knew my dress was the one for me. From my first day working there, it was love at first sight! Obviously I’m biased, but White Dresses & Tiaras is a beautiful shop, and the team are always so helpful. My generous Nan purchased my dress for me. I lost my Dad when I was seven and she told me it’s what he would have wanted, so it meant even more to me.”
And the accessories?
“A full-length, two-tier veil and a diamanté headpiece – both from White Dresses & Tiaras. The headpiece is named Millie so I just had to have it as that’s my step daughter’s name! I also had earrings from notononthehighstreet.com and a cuff bracelet from Debenhams. I was also lucky to have some Jimmy Choo shoes as a present from my lovely husband.”
What did Nigel wear?
“Nigel hired a navy blue three-piece suit from Dickies Suit Hire in Crawley. We teamed it with Paul Smith shoes and a floral shirt and pocket square from Ted Baker.”
Who were your bridesmaids and where were their dresses from?
“My gorgeous step daughter Millie and best friend Karen. They wore Jasmine dresses in the Sea Mist colour, which went with our colour scheme. They also had shoes and clutch bags from Miss KG and jewellery from Next.”
What was your theme?
“Rustic glamour. Our colours were mint green, blush pink and gold. Nigel and I wanted a relaxed day, so we chose long wooden rustic tables with mint green table runners instead of cloths. I added a bit of gold glitter here and there along with blush pink accessories. We had a hog roast by All Seasons Catering for the wedding breakfast followed by an ice cream van for dessert. Then we had a pizza van by Pizza Amore for the evening reception.”
What was the highlight of your day?
“Walking down the aisle and becoming a proper family, sharing the same name with Nigel’s three children and our little boy.”
